Robinson Food Pantry continues to serve the Robinson area thanks to the generosity of family and friends of Harold Harrison. Harold passed away in December of 2016, but he continues to be a blessing to the people of Robinson who need help. His wife of 66 years, Doris, recently presented a check to continue her husband’s benevolence and legacy.
In the early 1980’s, Mr. Harrison was given the ministry of the Benevolence Committee of Otterbein Church. He recognized the need for a food pantry in Robinson, as well as monies needed for utilities, gas, and rent. He set in motion, through contact with Illinois state and local leaders, the foundation of what we now know to be the Robinson Food Pantry. He began keeping non-perishable food items in the church basement and would distribute as needed. He, also, through the generosity of Robinson Otterbein Church congregation, helped those in need of financial assistance not available elsewhere.
We are happy to say, thanks to generous donations continuing today, the Robinson Food Pantry still meets the nutritional needs of this area. The Pantry is open each Mondays from 1 to 2 pm and Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30- each week, with exclusion of any holiday or 5th Monday or Wednesday.

Pastor Bessie’s Going-Away Potluck Lunch
Sunday May 12 we celebrated 5 1/2 years of Pastor Bessie’s tenure at Otterbein. It has been a wonderful time and we love Bessie deeply and pray for her in her new assignment in Evansville, IN. We had a great lunch and shared stories and reminiscences and presented Bessie with keepsakes from the Otterbein family. It was an emotional time and some tears were shed. We will miss her greatly and pray for her comfort and success in her new church home!
2015 Christmas Carry-In Lunch
2015 Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Packing
The Otterbein Family had a great time November 8 packing shoeboxes for Operations Christmas Child. (After a delicious Thanksgiving potluck lunch.) We packed 53 boxes at the church and several people took boxes home to pack and bring back, so our total will probably be 60+ boxes. So much fun and fellowship as we help children around the world have a happier Christmas!
Lincoln Trail State Park Lunch and Boating
October 25, after worship services, we had a wonderful time eating lunch and then kayaking and paddleboating at Lincoln Trail State Park. The weather was perfect and the lake and the fall colors were so beuatiful. We are truly blessed!
Heath Harvest Festival
We had a fantastic day at the 2015 Heath Harvest Festival. The Otterbein Booth gave away 300 stuffed animals with an Otterbein message attached, to children who played our bean bag toss game. Hard to tell who had a better time, the kids or those of us who manned the booth!
2015 Crawford County United Methodist Church Picnic
2014 Otterbein Staff Christmas Breakfast
The Otterbein Staff served us a great Christmas breakfast today, and then we made gifts for Assisted Living/Nursing Home residents in Crawford County. It was a wonderful morning of food, fellowship and fun!
